Brazilian Fintech Cora Secures $27M In Series A Led By Ribbit Capital

Cora, a São Paulo based fintech startup that serves a a digital bank for the self-employed and small and medium-sized enterprises, announced that it has raised BRL 150 million ($26.7 million) in Series A funding round, led by US-based venture capital firm Ribbit Capital with participation from US-based Greenoaks Capital and Argentina-based Kaszek Ventures.

Founded in 2019 by Igor Senra Magalhaes and Leonardo Soares Barbosa Mendes, Cora offers Visa debit cards and an app that allows free electronic fund transfers as well as help managing billing, collections, expenses, payments and taxes.
