San Francisco based wealth-tech startup Secfi raised $150 million in a funding round led by Serengeti Asset Management, bringing the total funds raised to $707 million. This is the seond investment round by Serengti in Secfi, the first one being a $550 million fund infusion seventeen months ago. Other early stage investors in Secfi include FJ Labs, Social Leverage, Weekend Fund and Elefund.
Founded in 2017 by Wouter Witvoet, Secfi is the pre-wealth management platform that helps private company employees and shareholders with equity planning. The latest funding will enable Secfi to expand its platform to stock option financing for executives and employees from late-stage startups poised for exit.
